After graduating from NMSU in 2000, Gregg Madsen returned to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and began his career with Wier & Associates working as a Survey Party Chief. As an athlete competing in team sports, Gregg learned very early on that teamwork, determination and overcoming adversity were skills needed to succeed at the highest level. These skills translated into his professional career both as a Registered Surveyor and as a leader of the firm.
In 2001, he integrated the first RTK GPS system into the firm’s operations, promoting improvement in the capability of our surveyors to provide quality services more quickly and economically. Gregg has had a key leadership role in Wier & Associates’ sponsorship and expansion of the RTK Network in North Texas, thus revolutionizing many aspects of the surveying profession in this region.
Gregg has managed the Survey Department since 2004 and reviews the majority of the legal survey documents produced by the firm. Since becoming COO in 2015, he has also taken a leadership role with our Engineering Project Managers to ensure each team has the necessary resources available to meet client needs and project schedules.
