Carlo Silvestri began his career with Wier & Associates in 1993 as a Civil Engineering Intern while studying at UTA. His father had a big influence on his career path, as Carlo became interested in engineering watching the manufacturing of post-tensioning cables and visiting job sites witnessing how they were used in the construction of bridges, roads, buildings and retaining walls. Carlo learned very early in life that determination, hard work and good organizational skills are the qualities needed to be successful and not to take life for granted. He believes that you need to take each day on as it’s your last and to be happy doing it.
Carlo served as a Principal of the firm for ten years prior to being elected President in 2014. As Principal-in-Charge of a variety of the firm’s Municipal and Developer Projects, he manages several design teams, guiding designers through all engineering tasks the firm encounters.
He is an active member of the DFW Mid-Cities Chapter of TSPE and has served in many positions of leadership within the organization. In 2016, he was honored by the Chapter as “Engineer of the Year” and was previously honored as “Young Engineer of the Year” in 2004. Carlo has also been recognized in the local business community by the Fort Worth Business Press as a “Forty Under Forty” honoree in 2011.
Carlo enjoys traveling and experiencing what life has to offer with his beautiful wife, Beth and two daughters, Giuliana and Annabella.
