Priya Acharya joined Wier & Associates in 2006 as an intern and began working as a full-time graduate engineer in 2007, upon graduation from the University of Texas at Arlington. During her career at Wier & Associates, Priya has progressed from a graduate engineer to a project manager and was elected as a senior associate of the firm in 2020. She has gained significant engineering and project management experience through an assortment of commercial and industrial design projects. In addition to an engineering skillset, Priya has prepared and contributed to the completion of numerous feasibility studies and land-planning analyses.
Priya has served on the board of CREW Fort Worth and as president of the TSPE DFW Mid-Cities Chapter. Her dedication to TSPE and the engineering community enabled her to be recognized as the DFW Mid-Cities Chapter’s Young Engineer of the Year in 2010.
Priya attributes her leadership role to a strong work ethic instilled by her parents, the support provided by her husband and children, and the knowledge imparted by the firm’s leaders.
